Privacy statement
Last updated: June 27, 2026
This page is maintained by the TeachBot Studio team to answer common privacy questions. It describes current product practices and is not a legal contract or a certification of compliance.
1. What we collect
- Account information: email address and basic profile data you provide when signing in (including via Google).
- Content you submit: documents you upload and text you paste in order to generate lessons.
- Generated outputs: lessons, slides, narration, assignments, and bot configurations created from your inputs.
- Usage and billing: trial and subscription status, plan selection, and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers needed to process payment.
2. How we use it
- To generate the lesson outputs you request.
- To enforce trial limits and manage your subscription.
- To improve reliability, fix bugs, and respond to support requests.
- We do not sell your personal information and we do not use your uploaded content to train third-party models.
3. Source grounding and the open web
The student bot is grounded in the materials you provide. By default it will not pull from internet sources. You may switch a bot to "open" mode, which allows general-knowledge responses in addition to your content; this is opt-in per bot.
4. Who processes your data
We rely on a small set of vetted processors to run the service:
- Lovable Cloud for hosting, database, authentication, and storage.
- Google for optional social sign-in.
- Lovable AI Gateway for text, image, and voice generation requests.
- Stripe for subscription billing. Card details are handled directly by Stripe and never stored on our servers.
5. Retention and deletion
Account, lesson, and billing records are retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated content at any time by contacting us — see the Contact page. Some records (such as invoices) may be retained by our payment processor as required by law.
6. Security
Access to the database is protected by row-level security so that each user can only access their own records. Authenticated AI endpoints require a valid session, and the embeddable student bot uses signed, server-issued instructions to prevent tampering.
7. Children
TeachBot Studio is designed for educators. Accounts are intended for users aged 18 and over. Teachers may use generated outputs with their students; students do not need their own TeachBot Studio account to view a published lesson or use an embedded bot.
8. Your choices
- Sign out at any time from the Studio.
- Cancel your subscription from the account menu.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your data via Contact.
9. Changes
We may update this statement as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email to the address on your account.
